Anyone know how good the Crower rods are? Thats what he's got in his setup.

uhm... I have Crower rods in the 347 In my Saleen. Really good rods. They have been around for at least 40+ years (the company).

What brand internals do you guys use when you build up the engines in 240s'? Or does everyone just buy a SR20DET. Granted yea its a nice swap, but building an engine is the most rewarding part to building a car.

When I tear down one of the KA's its gonna get ross slugs, eagle h-beams, and not sure about the crank yet.

nope never heard of Crower- i havent been into cars that long, espicially into building motors.

Purple240- the sr swap is definetly a clean swap, but building a clean swap is definetly a great reward :)

make sure to keep us updated on your car as you progress in your build

stock rods are forged, there is no need to buy stronger rods unless you buy really lowcomp aftermarket pistons and run about 15+ lbs.

Well, I'll proably re-use the stock rods then. But I'm looking to be running much higher boost.

Sweet car. The owner of KA-t.org, Rick, owns it. Like you have said, it needs cosmetic touch ups but that powertrain is to die for.
