Italy, anyone?

Okay, has anyone been or lived in Italy before? I'm planning to go to Italy for the month of June and I just wanted to see whether I should :

a) Go with my best friend all by ourselves with no tour group
b) Go with a tour group b/c we will be only 18 and go by ourselves for Winter Break next year.

BTW, if anyone has been there, can you give me some tips PLEASE? (I already know about the ass pinching in the trains;))

choice#2 is BS since how are we to tell if your hot or not if you don't post the pic?

OMG, I just saw the travel tour package and it's for 48 days and I get to visit 17 countries:eek:!!!! OMFG! But it's expensive as hell, probably costs more than most of your 240's! Hahaha! I'll be begging mommy and daddy like hell now!:D

not a good idea...my friend went on one of these...sed that she only could spend like a day or 2 in a place before they had to leave again...she wasn't too happy because they'd go out drinking and come back to the hotel at like 3 or 4 and have to leave around 6 in the morn

and if something happens and you have to go home (i can't remember what happened but another girl that took the trip with her had to leave) she had to forfiet a lot of money for one reason or another

if ur going to go visit other countries...weigh out ur options...but this is something you shouldn't do

leiferik1 04-14-2002 11:13 AM

also...she complained that because the trip was so fast that she didn't get time to really "see" anything...just the main attractions

Hmm, well I guess that makes sense since it's 17 countries, you wouldn't have time to really do much being there only 48 days. But I reallly really want to go to Italy, Greece, and Egypt. Italy and Greece aren't too bad to travel alone with a friend, but Egypt on the other hand :(. Especially now, with all this crap going on....

But it would be approximately $3659 for the tour + $282(cheapest we could find) for plane tickets to London + $970 spending money=$6,000 ($5,911 to be exact):eek::eek:

But I'm still looking at other options....:dunno:

Those super travel things do suck. You'll be too rushed to have a really good time and damn are they expensive. Maybe you should narrow down a travel thing to just one or two places? Also find the most level headed friend you have to do the trip with you. The more down to earth they are the less likely they are to act stupid while your there. I forget how its spelled or what time of year it is but there's a island called Ios or something like that which is really interesting. Clothes optional, everything is cheap and the whole island only has two cops.

a good bet is at least $50-100 per day spending money. so for a month, consider at LEAST $1500-2000.

NO, actually the tour gives you at least one meal a day, they usually give us breakfast and dinner, and i don't really eat lunch anyways. So we won't spend more than $30, until we get to Milan, then I'll be needing lots of mulah!;)

Forget that !

They are starting to fly darn planes into building over there, too.

I hope it was an accident.

PS They say the food is good over there.

Huh? What are you talking about?

JESTER 04-19-2002 04:41 PM

What, you dont watch CNN?

They had some dip fly a darn plane into a building yesterday.

Like I said, hope it was accidental. It sounded to be an accident, the pilot had made an sos before he bought the farm.

Anyway. Take a boat if you go. Harder to crash them into buildings.

Jester
