Latest Civic Si Coupe Concept

I hope nissan has something in the works for a pocket rocket of some sorts. Honda showed a concept civic Si to which they say the next car will be 90% derived.

Auto Week has pics, take a look.

20k for that car ain't mad. But it looks like a mutt. It's a mix of a TSX, Solara, and looks like it has an Audi TT rear. Its stil FWD, I wouldn't rock it, lol.

C-Walk 02-17-2005 05:30 PM

if someone gave it to me then okay but if i was ganna buy a honda/acura it would either be a S200 or an NSX.

Sleeperella 02-17-2005 10:07 PM

actually i would diffinately rock it, if i had da money, well only after i get an nsx and or an s2k

those carbon black headlight r hot man,, i think this car would go real far like the last si coupe, and civic to me, seems to be among the best fwd car, fun to drive and cheap,,, and very easy to mod, and u can really get more bang for ur buck...

i really couldn't care less about it being FF versus FR. its supposed to have a 6 speed, and that front end is mean. yeah it looks like it bit the lights off a solara, but the solara wasnt making all good use of that look anyway IMO.

just wanted to know what people thought

ArticDragon 02-18-2005 01:01 AM

Want a nice FF, get a CRX, lol.

twofotisx 02-18-2005 05:13 AM

bump to Artic. The CRX IMO is the best honda to pick up for some high quality low budget tuning. Ingrediants to go fast: One 89 CRX (no rust) and one H22. Plug in, Play with, Repeat.

Yes you can do the H22 swap to any civic but the CRX is by far the lightest chassy to do it on. I don't like Civics but I have to admit the CRX (ealier years) tend to catch my attention as long as they're not sponsered by Pep Boys.

yeah but the CRX is also butt ass ugly.....id rock that civic though....i think honda hatchbacks are gay and the SI should have been a coupe in the first place...

Sleeperella 02-18-2005 11:03 AM

CR-X being ugly? dude, it was made in the 80s, and for the lowest budget out there too!!! the CR-X i must admit, was my first love, i wanted one really bad, but everyone has it around here, being all riced out, so i got a 240sx my 2nd fav.

with under 10k u can have a BAM BAM BANGING CR-X, dont even need the h22, just get a b18 (ls engine one)
CR-X : 500 -- 1,500
ls engine (b18a or something): 400 -- 600
rebuild to around 9.5 compression: 3,000 -- 4,000
turbo system: 2,000 - 3,000
suspension: get any okay set up of shock and spring for 700
wheels: rota slip stream and some slick: 700
what more do u need? just right there u got urself a freaken fast ass CR-X non riced, it probably be pushing 300whp!!! BAM! *****ES!

as for that new civic si, it gonna be inline 4!!! that mean more bang!!

Darren337 02-18-2005 12:28 PM

the CRX has its strong and weak points. its definitely a mod platform for sure. so small and simple its damn near impossible for 2 of em to be identical. but this new civic is whats really catching my attention. if it wasnt a cover car, and maybe if it looked bigger, you could have told me it was an accord coupe Si and i would have looked into it. i just want to see what will come of a sport compact 4 banger with a factory six speed for us. and well, i wanna see what nissan's gonna do in response to this.

ArticDragon 02-18-2005 12:31 PM

If it aint lighweight, ti won't be good.

l2aine 02-18-2005 08:33 PM

Depends on which CRX you;'re talking about. I personally like the way the 2nd gen CRX looks.
