movie review: Black hawk down

what the hell were they thinking when they made this movie? i waited for this movie to come out on TV before i saw it 'cause i knew it would be crap.

never see this movie. if you haven't seen this movie consider yourself lucky. the dialogue is weak. the main character could never be a ranger. the cast was pathetic.

everyone involved should be killed

hey, i thought the movie was okay. besides, it was a 'war' movie based on true events. dialogue? not even a necessity. its purpose was basically to tell a story imho. oh yeah, i saw the 'making of' for it and like 80-90% of the main cast were brittish!:laugh:

I thought the movie was great. It really showed how we screwed up by getting involved in a civil war. I thought there was lots of emotion among the characters, and this strengthened the plot. As far as the main character, I think he would make a fine ranger...it's not the person, it's the training...they're not crazy killing machines, they've gotta be smart.

its a move about:

AMERICAN PRIDE:rolleyes:

leiferik1 08-27-2003 09:20 PM

no not really. to me it was a movie about the military breaking international law and trying to assignate someone that wasn't friendly with the american political point of view

but i guess i'm not a nationalist so maybe i was the only one who saw it

yeah you know that guy blackburn that fell out of the helicopter right whenever they got to mogidishu? He real guy is the resource officer at my school, what really happened was he was shot and fell 60 feet out of a helicopter and broke 28 bones, and was in the hospitol for 2 years, after which they kicked him out of the army for medical disabilities.
