I come on this forum everyday about 20 times.. and today my passwoard was gone and i had to get an email link to re-set it.. anyone know why that would happen?

Not likely that you were hacked unless that l33t h@x0r kid you were making fun of decided to get you back. But seriously, if someone was messing with you I doubt they would just erase your password. They would at least masquerade as you to throw it in your face. Do you let others use your account? Did you leave your account open on a public computer, school, library, etc..? Is your password simple or related to your screen name?
It is possible a mod could have reset your password. You could have a broken key on your keyboard or you may have had your caps lock on.
