so.....

with tax season upon us, i'm just curious how everyone is going to come out of this. i think it's safe to say that anyone who is getting anything back already spent it, and those of us who have to pay are procrastinating. in my case, although i made considerably less i still get stuck paying the gov. it's not much that i'll be paying, but i still don't see why i'd have to pay again.

one of my sisters decide to buy a house this year in part becuase other large return for buying it. unfortunately her return was suspended pending investigation. apperantly many claimed to have bought as house just to get free money. i guess they'll have to learn the hard way that you don't mess with the irs.

you have a better chance of getting away with murder than lying to the irs, true story.

Well she didn't lie about anything did she?

jramosthe1st! 03-11-2010 11:22 AM

no, she really did buy a house. it's just a matter of time before the irs realizes that there's no fraud involved and she gets here money.

^^ Sucks to hear about that.

I had my son's grandmother (on the mother side), claim my son two years ago. That was a fun experience dealing with that.
