what kind of information do i need

in 6 to 12 months i'm going to buy a big screen TV (55 inch and up) and i have MANY questions, and i want to go ahead and prepare now for everything that may come up later. first, what is the deal with HDTV? Should i buy a TV that is HDTV ready, or already has it?

basically, if u know anything i might need to know, inform me

HDTV

If you plan on keeping the tv for more than 3 years, definately go with an HD system. There is a ton of crap on the internet about it, but from what I have heard all stations are going to try to be broadcasting in HD by 2006 or something like that, so if you are going to invest the money it is definately worth it. Not to mention it looks so much better. HDTV :thumb:

oh my god i was so mad yesterday. my girl friend and i went to tweeter (home audio and electronics) to try and get "professional" opinions and hopefully get some of the questions i have answered. well, we were in the store for 20 min looking at TV's and home audio gear, and not one sales person came up to us and asked if we needed anything. i was so pissed off. that just REALLY makes me mad. and you know what, **** tweeter. i was thinking about calling them up and *****ing them out and saying something like, "well you've convienced me to go to best buy for my big screen"

grrrrrrrr
