Yeah my brother was all big into motorcycles until he got down at MMI and started working, well that and his bike got stolen and he didn't have insurance. He hates bikes now, and sadly just got a job on a race team, but hopefully that is different enough from just working on a POS all day that he won't make the same mistake twice.

I take it you are still in HS? Doing odd jobs at a shop isn't bad as a teen but just try not to make it your career. Not saying it is a bad career, just always keep trying to move up in the world, thats the ticket.

but its not, seriously your going to regret it. wait this **** out, get a job when your 16 dont work your childhood away youll regret it.
this job doesn't even sound like a job, it sounds more like getting paid to do what you want to do with your free time. besides hard work build character and separates the men from the mammas boys. but you might not like working on cars for a living so learn what you need and move on if you want.

tomorrow isn't promised...do what the **** you want!!!! LIVE SON!

LIVE FAST DIE FUN!

cliche maybe but its worth it and congrats dude it sounds awesome!

Then again you are young...enjoy it but don't make a living out of it unless you really want to. Its the same thing I do. I work for my uncle and get to work on my car in turn at his shop, etc. but I learn a ton but its not my real job its still purely hobby. I keeps it real and make sure you do the same.

Don't let it get away and just enjoy it like I said!!!

Lol All of this talk of having a truck, a girl, and a job and everything made me think he is about to graduate. Dude you are way ahead of me, and being 13 I wouldn't even worry about anything like life goals. You are thinking too much about this, just go to school and have fun. Only work as much as you need to for cash, all the fun stuff comes from working on your own car.

Too young for commitments. 13 is still a boy. No need to be "transformed" into a man yet by starting work already. Relax, enjoy your youth. Go ahead and work, but keep it light. Don't get to the point where you feel like you have an obligation. It's a burden.

As long as you aren't working in a dark ally on your knees, almost any work makes you a man I guess heh.
To the OP, good luck with your job, means even more upgrades when you get your car after all!
