Sorry if I'm jacking your thread, but is there a clearcut way to tell a sohc ecu from a dohc ecu? I'm looking for the ecu you're selling and I don't want to get ripped off (not that I'm saying you're going to rip me off).
This question is for the general public btw.
If this is still available next week, I'll be pm'ing or emailing you. Thanks.

I just didn't want to create a thread asking this question.....

where are you located?

Thats fine, I totally understand. Hmm... There is really no "clearcut" way of telling a SOHC ECU from a DOHC ECU that I know of. But if you need a for sure way of telling what kinda ecu this is, You can go to this link http://jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/ECU-ID.PDF

And look up the serial code on the sticker and it will tell you everything about the ECU

The ECU that I'm selling has a serial code of

A11-B44 G70

Granted yes there are some repeats and it this code also shows it for a 91, 92, and 93. But as we know, SOHC is during 89 and 90 and you will not find this code during those two years.

Hope this helps

Hey thanks for that info. I've seen those codes before on ebay and didn't know that they correspond with the years. Good stuff! :thumb:
