RB26 with a six-speed

Ok well I plan on doing the RB26 in my S13, not for awhile, but eventually, but something came to mind. I know you cant use the RB26 trans cause its AWD so you have to use the RB25trans, which is a 5-speed. I was just wondering if there are any 6-speed trannys you can use, like the 350Z or 300ZX(i think thats 6-speed??) I just think it would be cool to have a six speed to have the high top speed but still have good acceleration.

six speed is useless imo...just amounts to more shifting and more custom work

Pretty sure the Z32 is only a fivespeed. I guess you could get the Z33 trans to fit some how, with alot of custom work.

yea, ive seen someone selling z33 trans'...and they had a bunch of them a while back, and they said that nobody could yet tell them if the trans worked without completely redoing a lot of things

imo, more work than it's worth...i would actually prefer a 5 speed over a 6 speed

yeah that S15 tranny is weak as hell. Im thinking of staying KA-T for awhile while i save up lots of money, so i can get the Full-Race AWD conversion. mmmm that would be so sick.

That would be the way to go(Maybe I'm saying that cause I'm KA-T? Lol) Anyway, the RB26DETT is the AWD one and I BELIEVE(correct me if I'm wrong) the RB26DET is RWD, like the RB25DET(GTS). You could go with that, or just go with the 2.5L RB. I dunno, just an option if you decide.

i looked at wikipedia and it doesnt even say there was an R34 GTST. Just a GT-T with a RB25DET NEO with a five speed. the reason i thought a 350Z tranny would work is cause JUN(tuner shop in japan) made an AWD 350 using the VG engine mated to the GT-R AWD drivetrain. Idk i'm still undecided on what im gonna do to my car so i'll have alot of time to work it out. Thanks guys.
