RB26: twins or big single?

so i want an rb26 with about 600whp as a daily driver, far in the future, but eventually. Would it be more beneficial to keep the twin turbo setup, or would a big single have similiar response and top-end power? Response is very important to me, because i want do time attack/roadrace/autox etc, and most likely some drifting to show off everynow and then. By the way i would be most likely stroking it out to 2.8 with an HKS kit.

lol anyway 600hp in an s-chassis is way way way!! too much power for auto-x and you'd be in a class thay either u got no competetion or you cant compete in cause of the too much power for those tight turns.

but to answer your question sequential twin turbos is best for responce

i was actually having these same exact thoughts when i bought my silvia. then i realized the price, so i opted for the inferior RB25DET. but seriously, unless you are about to win the lottery, or a rich grandpa is on his deathbed, dont even consider the RB26, cuz guaranteed there's gonna be a better engine made by nissan...or toyota...by the time you commit to it

yea its gonna cost you over $20k just for the rb26, install, and stroking it to 2.8 plus any headwork, transmission work and chassis work, damn my wallets hurting even thinking about it

if you want 600 horsepower, you should not be asking us if you need one or two turbochargers

thats like saying you're going to build a v2 replica rocket engine and you're wondering if you need to use gasoline or ethanol....

this kind of research should be done before you do such a daunting task as A. getting the money, B. installing it, and C. figuring out how to reliably and safely obtain 600hp for a daily driver (btw, 600hp daily driver is an oxymoron)

and to answer your question: you want a single turbo for a 600hp rb26

you can get any hp rating out of either setup on a skyline engine. and although a 600hp daily driver is not very practical, or smart considering ur spending all that money, but it is possible, and not exactly an oxymoron

EDIT: getting 600hp out of a skyline engine is no unheard of feat. getting 600 hp in the 3S-GTE (Mk II MR2) is hard, and still a reliable daily driver, as shown by www.mr2oc.com

I love how people say they D/D these 1,000 HP cars.
Personally I think its such bull**** unless your rich as ****.
I mean The MPG would be like -15 and driving a car that tuned on the streets, you would be worried about breaking something.
I would assume parts for a car like that would not be cheap.
