New Vehicle Registry!

Thanks to Mark from evolutionm.net we now have a new registry up! So if you got a 240sx or Silvia go and register it here: Vehicle Registry

Make sure you are logged in order to register your vehicle.
Its got lots of cool features like voting, comments etc. Go check it out!

240Girl 04-02-2002 03:13 PM

Can people with other cars register? I'm wondering because there are many people from altimas.net who would probably want to register too (not me, of course!).

battlestylespl 04-03-2002 11:17 AM

It keeps giving me errors about not using commas and stuff in the fields even when I didn't use any. What's up with that thing? Also if I have a 100,000km car but it has a 5,000km motor which do you want me to use? Anyways here's the details. 1993 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (SR20DET AWD) with of all things ABS and power windows.

RNN14:
Which area is it giving you errors? It might be in the purchase price field. Dont use commas in that field, just digits. Try again and let me know if you have any more problems.

battlestylespl: Looks good..add some pics now!

battlestylespl 04-04-2002 12:04 AM

k..i added some. also when you use an apostrophe it puts a backslash in there. it's a nice registry, but if you have alot of mods, it can get a little repetitive to add them over and over. PSM, e-mail me at silviastanza2@yahoo.com i have a question to ask you about the registry coding and use of it. so lmk.

Thanks.

battlestylespl 04-05-2002 03:04 AM

That thing gives me errors in every field. I enter 1993 and it says to use a 4 digit year. No **** that's how many digits are in 1993. Then it doesn't like a simple 2000 as the amount I paid and it doesn't like any number entered for the mileage.

240drifter 04-06-2002 05:04 AM

I got the same thing. It keeps telling me that my mileage needs to be only digits when its already in digits. I was putting in 46000.

PSM 04-06-2002 08:00 AM

Thats wierd....let me test it out. Does it bring a pop up warning?
Its got to since RNN14 car isnt in the database yet.

Sorry for problems guys :( Its still the beta testings :)

PSM 04-06-2002 08:08 AM

I just put up a test vehicle and it worked for me. hmm...what browsers are you guys using?
This work best with IE5+ but should have no problems with Netscape 4+ either.

Remember not to use any commas or periods in the digits. If you still cant just email me all your info. The only problem is that I need your sign on password too. Becasue the vehicle has to be registered in your name. So change you password to some temporary one and email me all your info, and I'll add it in the registry.

Hey guys,

If you have any problems with the registry you can pm me and I'll try to help as much as I can. The error checking for adding a vehicle uses javascript 1.2 which Nutscrape doesn't support unless you use version 6 or higher. IE should work fine as well as the latest Opera. Some AOL browsers may have problems as well. I wrote this is in a little over a week and could only test with IE 6, Netscape 4.01, Netscape 6.2, and Opera 5 so it'll still pretty buggy. The mileage and price fields cannot have any symbols there, including dollar signs($), commas(,), periods(.), or anything else.

i cant register my car here now :(

battlestylespl 04-06-2002 11:19 AM

i use ie 5 and had little to no problems

RNN14 04-06-2002 01:40 PM

IE5 also and it gives me the pop up errors. I have to go help a friend today so I will try it again later.

MBM 04-06-2002 03:44 PM

I removed the javascript and did everything server side so it should work. There's just a small javascript function to reload the page when you select a make.

I did find out that this server won't allow images to be deleted so if you see errors about directories already existing or directories not being removed that what that is. The image will still be removed from the database, just not the disk.
