Been lurking for acouple weeks....but finally picked up my 240

I bought an 89 240sx hatchback, 5 speed yesterday.
$1350.

I plan on doing either the CA18DET or the SR20DET swap first and then customize the interior...then come spring time start working on the exterior.

Ofcourse suspension will be done along with the swap.

Its alittle rough...but overall it's pretty nice.

I'll post some pics later.

Conrgats on the purchase man, bad news for you though on the sr20det swap. Unless you dont plan on keeping PS, re-routing the lines are gonna be a BEEYATCH!

Its because the 89s were SOHC unlike the 90-93 which were DOHC

I've read that already.

What about the CA18DET...same issue?

Oh...and thanks for the warm welcome! :D

Not sure though, did you buy your 240 in good condition? I am looking for one right now that needs a body work and possibly engine work also, but if it needs engine work it has to be in the MD/DC/VA/NC area

It's in Ok condition.

the body has it's fair dents and dings....nothing major.

The interior is ok...although they were a smoker, so it smells horrible. :(

The engine runs rough. I did change the spark plugs and wires today and it seemed to help some.

I found it in the Washington Post.
