English Member says hello

Hi guys,

My name is Sir Nodrick. I own a 2000 nissan 200sx s14a over here in England.
I am a member of the british 200sx owners club (www.sxoc.co.uk) and regularly attend club meetings, rolling road days, 1/4 mile sprints and track days with them.
I just thought i'd come on here, introduce myself and see how similarly/differently you do things compared to us.

Look forward to talking to some of you.

Welcome to the forums

re037 03-31-2006 04:11 PM

hi, welcome to the site. its not really a "club" but more of a group of car owners on a message board. glad to have some international people here tho

sir nodrick 03-31-2006 04:41 PM

Hey re037, thanks mate. So you are from Los Angeles, yeh?? To be honest, being from england, the only time i see los angeles is when i'm watching films!! any claims to fame??? any films shot at the end of your street??? LOL. So, do you guys have meets then?? i mean, do you and other 200sx/240sx owners from around your local area meet up and talk, socialise, race each other, etc..???? I'm a regular at the north west of england meetings. Its good to meet new people.

Anyway, nice to meet you.

Nice to have you join us Sir.

welcome to the forums, its awesome im looking foward to hearing what you guys do over there when it comes to meets and track days things like that, and modifying your cars

re037 03-31-2006 11:11 PM

well, we do have meets and such. most are informal and word by mouth however. i dont attend anymore, but yeah its pretty much the same with you. socializing, eating food, car talk, checking out other cars, occasionally some racing, loud systems bumpin and what not. plenty of other cars show up besides 240sx's too. los angeles isnt as hyped up as it is. lots of smog and traffic. tho some areas are indeed nice, most of it is run down residential or industrial and typical suburbia (with traffic)

Hi lads,

Here is some links to pictures. there are some of the meets we attend, big meets at one of the performance suppliers garage and some small car park meets. mine is the red s14a and my brothers is the red s13. Under the bonnet of the blue s14a is my friends, he just got it back from a full rebuild, now produces 427bhp at the wheels, although i haven't got that sort of money to spend so i just keep mine nice and clean. All the 200sx/240sx's over here have the sr20det

re037 04-03-2006 08:21 PM

just realized the s14 w/ r33 gtr rim combo is kickass. cars look good. did any came with a n/a sr?

sir nodrick 04-07-2006 11:49 AM

The wheels on my car are from a R34 GTT/GTS. The 200sx/240sx should have been supplied with those wheels as i think they look far better than those 16" rubbish they have on standard!!

Over here in England/United Kingdom, the S14 is ONLY available with the SR20DET. The s13 is ONLY available with the CA18DET.

So engine swaps over here are quite rare compared with you guys in the US. The only engine swap that people do over here is to the RB26 skyline engine, although 99% of people can extract enough BHP from the standard engines.

Since i joined your website, i have found it to be a very good site. I shall pass this recommendation to my fellow british 200sx owners club members.

Thanks for the photos Nodrick, good to have you on the forums.

Please do tell your pals to come join in the fun. It's always nice to talk to international 240/200sx chaps.

re037 04-07-2006 11:25 PM

i wonder if we have any aussie members here

sir nodrick 04-09-2006 02:10 PM

i think its a great site lads :thumb:, thanks for being so welcoming, but this is the only thread i can get anyone to talk to me!!! people seem to be a little reluctant to answer my posts. I've started a few posts, one being a 1/4 mile drag post in the motorsport/drifting forum asking for everyone to post up their personal best, i'm not bothered however good or bad. its been up all weekend and not 1 person has added theirs. a bit shy perhaps?? :o

Bryan 04-09-2006 03:03 PM

I don't believe there are too many drag racers on here, I know there are a few and I'm sure they'll chime in once they read your thread. I believe Silviaichigo (sp?)is into drag racing, may want to send him a PM.

dont get me wrong, i'm not a "drag racer" either, i have only ever done 6 runs in total, just as a laugh and to know what your car is capable of. Most of us english lads are only bothered about track days, although most have done a 1/4 mile at least once, just to see. anyway, no worries, was just curious.
