hello from germay

hey guys, just found this forum and thought i might fit in here!

my name is Jakob i am 20 years old and i am living in germany.
my car is a 1995 Nissan 200sx S14 (EUDM Silvia), yes it has a notchtop sr20det from factory

it is pretty stock so far but i have a lot of plans for it and not enough money to back it up :P

what i did so far:

-cleaned the engine bay of unnessecary wires and brackets

-battery relocation to the trunk into a SARD battery box

-os Giken str twin plate clutch

-nismo clutch pivot

-turbo rebuild by myself

-egr removal (yes the european sr20 has an egr system)

-general maintance

-kouki taillights

-wing removed and holes shut

- rear foglight and reflector painted in black

what i want to do:

-solid subframe bushings

-engine and transmission mounts

- LOWER!!!!!!!

-nice wheels

- 2 way LSD

pictures:

(these pictures are older since the rearfoglight and reflector are red/broken. i have replaced it and painted both flat black to match the plastic trim in the rear bumper around the license plate)

yup but i suggest you to get the kouki sr20det. oh and the euro sr20s have 200hp instead of 220 and they dont have the ballbearing turbocharger.. but besides that its the same thing

thanks guys!!

Nice ride man, where are you in Germany? I was stationed there in Hanau and Baumholder for the US Army. Love driving over there, and I'm not just talking about the Autobahn, my favorite drive that I drove everyday for awhile was B41 from Idar-Oberstein to Bad Kreuznach. Lots of fun on that one.

yea the "B-Roads" are the most fun, because the highway is a pain in the *** on weekends or at daytime. its only empty at late night, but once its empty you can have a lot of fun!!
plus you see way more of the landscape which is beautiful specially here in the south

See, these are the kinds of thoughts that get me in trouble with my wife. Although, it does have some serious potential. I wonder how long I'd be in the doghouse?

well you guys would only need the s14 ecu (zenki model) and the harness from a european car. but avoid the british ones they are lhd too:P

the reason why a zenki model ecu would work but a kouki wouldnt is, that the european s14s cam with NATS (nissan anti theft system). on the zenki it controlled with a remote and on the kouki it is a chip that sits in the key. because of the rising popularity of the s14 as a track car etc all the owners started to remove their NATS which is very simple in the zenki model.
so nissan linked the ecu of the koukimodel to the nats, means that if you rip out the ecu and replace it with a zenki one it wouldnt work because the ecu is connected to the nats and the car will only start if the right key, the right ecu and the right nats control unit are used.

cliffs:

european kouki ecu=fail
euro zenki ecu = yay!

if someone REALLY is interested in doing this pm me ill see if i can hook you up.
