I'm new. Hard decision

Okay I am going to be selling my lifted truck and am wanting to buy a 240sx. There are 2 that I am looking at and I am wondering which would be the best. The first one is a 93 240sx with a NA motor has drift suspension, quick throw shifter, exhaust, welded rear, rims. The other is a 91 240sx with a SR20DET red top swap with racing suspension, quick throw shifter, and the front is converted to the silvia and comes with a whole body kit all I need is a hood. The 93 is 3000 and the 91 is 4500. Now I was thinking about getting the 93 cause it's cheaper and is "Drift ready" and I know the guy really well. The other one I dont know the guy I just found the ad on craigslist. My plan was to get the 93 with the NA motor and put a turbo on it. Now if i were to do it what would be needed for it? Thanks alot for the help!

Well if you turbo the NA you will end up paying more than you would have if you had bought the 91... so I would go with the SR20 91...

depends which stuff you buy, you can cheap out with an ebay kit and it'll be around $900-$1,200 total... or you can get a real kit which can run you up to around $4000

What?

Youll be fine with a ebay kit. I dont know why people think ebay turbos blow up your car. Its all about the tune.

actually a lot of the parts on ebay labled nismo, stance, tein, etc. are usually offbrand names with fake lables. I know there are some things on there that are legit, I've bought a couple things off of there. But when people are selling turbo's without a legit brand name, why would anyone buy that? Just because it's labled "JDM turbo" that makes it ok? I only trust the good brand name turbo's: garret, hks, greddy, precision, etc...

and btw, ssautochrome is a dealer on ebay...

you don't have to go ebay however you can piece together quality parts and learn something on the way and not spend a lot of money.

its depends really on the condition of your ka.. if the compression is bad. i would think twice about boosting it.

but go SR if you want a plug and play motor.

im not going to get into the sr ka thing lol. but just look around you will find your answer. i do like low end TQ though.

please stop by the Turbo section which contains SR and KA info.

Did I read that right? Made by JDM? WHAT?! Oh my goodness . . .

I have a few questions . . .

1) What's Drift Suspension?

2) What's "Drift Ready"?

3) Why would anyone want an NA 2 liter as opposed to an NA 2.4 liter?

4) I had more but that turbo by JDM thing kinda threw me off. . . .

By drift suspension I mean the stiffer suspension and it has the welded rear. It's also the 2.4l. What is good compression on the KA24DE? I am planning on going with an ebay turbo if I get the ka one. If I get the SR I will spend the money and just get a bigger turbo.

This is one I was looking at. besides it being ebay what do you guys think of it?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo...72#ht_7560wt_0

Also would this be a nice Turbo timer to use or do you guys have any better ones?
