Importing Silvias

Hey People!

I am sorry if this is a tired subject, but can anyone give me some info on importing S13/S14/S15's into the US. What companies do the legalization, if any? Do they NEED to be legalized, or are they considered 240sx's? Sorry if I am ignorant, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

There is no company(to my knowledge) that imports AND legalizes Silvias. The only way to get em legal is to do all the legal paper work and crash tests.

you might want to check w/ Motorex in Torrance, Ca. They specialize w/ Nissan Skylines. What I have been told is that you buy the Skyline, then they ref it for you...a guy I know bought an R33 and its taking awhile because of the ref process. they have to make it all nice and legal...pass Cali smog regulations, even down to installing airbags in the car. I remember him saying that it takes maybe about 4 to 6 months before you even get the car because of this process. But again give Motorex a call....you never know...they maybe able to ship one over for you.

You AINT gonna see no legally imported Silvias. Aint nobody doing it.

The best you can do is convert a 240.

...or go oldschool with an S11

Wouldnt it be cheaper to find a front-clip in good condition if u really want RHD that bad?

I'm guessing this question is more towards importing s15's because they were never produced here, and also the fact that you would have an actual Silvia....like I said, I dunno, I'm just guessing:dunno:

They can't be legalized in the US. ...and even if they could, the process would be so much more expensive than they are really worth.

Having one for sale and having one for sale that can be registered and legally driven are two entirely different things.

legalizing RHD/JDM vehicles isn't hard...but it does cost a lot of money....

Auto ConXion = all the cars they have there for sale are right hand drives :bigok: check the site...Auto ConXion
