New 240 owner-Falls Church, VA

Hello all, I figured I would start out by introducing myself. I am WuShU (AKA Rob). This comming weekend I will be receiving an 89 240sx Coupe for free (unfortuneately an auto). Long term plans for the car are obviously the removal of the auto tranny and k series engine and replacement with an sr20det. I know most will say its not worth the time or effort, but keep in mind the car was free so I can go ahead and spend a little extra getting it the way I want. Anyways, Great board you have here and let me know if I can help in any way.

Yeah...needs some TLC, but I will get it up and running. Only problem I found so far...its leaking on the interior...yeah, a puddle on the floorboards. SImple temorary fix...car cover...but it will be fixed within the next 2 weeks for sure.

sweet you finally got some pics up of it rob, too bad the 89 coupe models got jipped of the wheels and the front lip. But that bad boy defently looks like it needs some TLC, just dont cut any corners on it and you will have one bad s13 coupe. Rob, you should get a front end conversion with the non projectors, that would set your coupe off! lol. So i guess your stopping modding the lude and working on this bad boy

Yeah...TLC is right...but a free car is a free car! I planned on making this my project...and learning on it. Plus it is a project for streettuners.com as well...so it is a good base to start with. No corners will be cut cept maybe on the interior just to get it to a drivable point.

Ok...tomorrow I am stripping the interior (seats, carpet, console etc.) and installing the JDM lock set (door handles/locks, trunk lock, glove box lock, and ignition.) Someone have any pointers as this is my first attempt at this.
