New to site.....Soon to be owner of a 93 coupe

I just have some general questions about the cars. My girlfriends dad has a towing company, and this car has been sittin there for about a year, so now they're selling it to me for 1000.00. Paint is good runs great, needs an alternator, and possibly an allignment. Other then that, cracked sunroof and windshield, torn seats, speedo doesn't work, some gauges might possibly be broke too. If u guys have any input, like at what milage things start to go and need to be replaced, i would eventually like to turbo the car, cause i can't have a car thats not turbo'd anymore. Thanks in advance!

Welcome!! An far as when things go bad..... I have seen engines pop at 140k, and last as long as 300k. It honestly depends on how well it has been taken care of.... If you are plannin on usin the stock motor, I would seriously reccomend doin a major tune up, as it has been sitting for so long, and you have no idea of the maintenance done on it before. The car itself is very reliable, and built well. Again, it all depends on how it was taken care of.
