Newb from Texas!!! Baby

Wuz up guy. I just got my 97 240sx about a month ago. Right now as it sit is an automatic but im in the process of making it a 5spd I came in here to look for some info and I like the vibe. If anybody is from the DFW area in Texas I have a questions from you were in the hell can I get swap parts for my car

im from the east Dallas/pleasant grove area, and did a 5 speed swap on a (s14)95 using a (s13)93 tranny. its pretty easy.

can i ask a most likely dumb question where does your clutch pedal mount? and can u tell me the drill bit u used to do big and small holes for the master cylinder i am about to start mine tomorrow i just rebuilt my 5speed tranny in skool

My advice would be to check out a junk yard and take pics of where it mounts. The car has some indications where the center of the clutch pedal mounts to from the inside. I used a 5/8 drill bit and made lots of little holes inside where I marked for the main center hole. There is alot of resources online of you just google it. Anyways pm if you need a bit more help

just finished a 5 speed conversion for a friend today.

just look under the dash behind the auto tranny computer there is a cut out in the carpet. pull off that cut out and you will see the firewall and it already has the template for the holes.

the firewall is 2 pieces of metal the outer metal towards the engine is what needs to be cut the inner firewall under the dash is already cut so you really cant make a mistake its easy
