Newbie

HI Yaall,
I am new to this forum......been a 240 owner for the past 2 and half months and the car was a screamer till last tuesday when it went in to limp mode all of a sudden.....took it my mechanic who cldnt diagnose the exact problem and instead changed the distributor cap, spark plugs and spark plug cables...did not solve the problem and hence took it to a nearby nissan dealer.....the dealer diagnosed the car and tolf me that the mass air flow sensor was destroyed along with the knock sensor.....he gave an estimate of $1250 to replace them both with original OEM parts with labor......can anyone advise me as t what shld be my approach ..........
thanks,
duddface

I think he's getting charged $1250 for a new MAFS and knock sensor parts and labor, from what he typed.

That price sounds really high to me. Like rip-off high.

good luck with finding a solution. I know how imports can be when you have to get them serviced.
