I've learnt that the seal doesn't prevent water, but controls the rate which it trickles into the internal channel.

I want to both repair the seal ( I bought a replacement part already ) and clean out the drains ( junk is collecting since the seal is falling apart ).

Q: Is there a good way to take off the entire bracket ( without damaging the glass )?

The plastic/plexi bracket is all chipped up from rocks hitting it over time and I'm trying to learn how to rebond and repaint it.

Q: Does anyone have advice?
