My S14's trunk lid is rusted pretty badly, so I'm either going to have to fix the rust or simply replace the lid; and I think I'd preferably replace it.

All I really need is the actual metal lid itself. Anything that's detatchable can go: brake lights, spring mechanisms, et al. All I need is the metal lid with no or very very little rust -- and preferably no dings or dents either. If it's the wrong colour for my car (my car's colour, I'm told, is "eggplant"), it's OK if it has some minor surface scratches because it's going to be repainted anyway. Although, if it's the right colour (that would be a nice bonus ) and still has scratches, I could just touch it up as well.

Basically, it boils down to price: I was quoted at $200 CAD to repair the rust on my trunk lid. If it's going to cost me too much more than that to replace (and repaint, if necessary) the trunk lid, then it's not really all that worth it.

Update: OK, the quote I told you was a bit off. To just repair the rust will probably be closer to $400 CAD. So, I can spend a bit more on a trunk lid then

 

I got one with factory SE spolier and everything. Its red so it would need to be repainted, and it has one ding that I think I can pop out once its off the car, other than that it is perfect with no rust, scratches, or anything else. I want $150ish plus shipping for it.
