To all with broken HUD's
 

Hey guys, just had a quick question. Has anyone installed a aftermarket speedometer in their 240's? I got a busted HUD and got pulled over the other day ( i could've sworn i was going 40 but the guy clocked me at 57 on a 40mph zone). I've seen write ups about changing the capactior on the gauge cluster itself but would it be easier to install this? If so is it possible even with the non working HUD? Sorry for all the question im just really anxious. Thanks for the help:thumb:

OOps can't believe i forgot this lol. This is what im thinking of picking up for my s13.

you can add an aftermarket speedo to your car... most companies sell electronic speedometers for a pretty good price... the part that gets you is the piece that is needed to run it on the nissan transmission... i dont know what all is involved with the part i just know that on my car 93 le i have to have some kind of electronic adaptor to make the gague work with the speed sensor... these parts cost more than buying a new speedo from nissan...
