AMS used to be a VERY reputable DSM (Eagle Talon, Mitsu Eclipse/Evo/Galant VR4) shop, they can do anything from installing a part to dyno tuning. They moved up to SRT-4 modding as well, and now they even tune/modify 240sx's. Just thought I'd share the site with everybody, they're really good at what they do, and are still VERY reputable in my area. |

ams guys are cool one of my buddies told me of them when AMS started messing with 240's a while back. i knew who they were when they were just DSM's.

Not to mention a rev happy KA that would redline to 7500~8500RPM, all due to less torsional stress which happens to occur in the half weighted cranks. I wouldn't mind spending $1500 on a 4140 forged chromolly fully counterweighted crank that is a direct drop in for our KA's. I picked up the address of a Chinese manufacturer that wouldn't mind taking on the manufacturing part (thanks to Kevin who gave me there web address), just need to find vendors that are willing to sell the product. Lots of research has been going into it as far as sales goes, and sales would be good. Kevin Johnson owner of Ishihara and Johnson crank scrapers met this particular manufacturer at the PRI show. |
We had Ivan's car at 8300 multiple times last year. Either by accident or on purpose. It withstood a full year of racing and had no ill effects on the motor.
We understand what you mean however. It is something that we have looked into. We need to get a few people together to get the cranks made. I will check and see where we are with that. I do believe it will be at least 1500 and possibly as much as 1900 depending on volume. |
If you are able to get a ka crank produced I will be more than happy to purchase one of them!

Chris I've been meaning to get you the info on the Chinese manufacturer if your interested all I'm looking for is a Fully counter weighed crank on discount for doing the work for the vendors.... If not, I'm not to concerned Greg offered me a ticket to sema to work some magic with vendors, and manufacturers in Oct-Nov..... I wouldn't mind dropping $10,000 on the investment if it came down to it. Just don't ever go through SCAT or NISMO they are charging wayyyy to much for R&D. Fullycounterweighed crank will make the KA the next FJ24!!!!! |

Put me down for $1500.... BTW how are you getting 5 cranks at that cost for that price??? Last I talked to SCAT it was $20,000 for R&D..... NISMO's entire bottom end assmebly CRANK, RODS, and PISTONS is about $8000. |
