Battle of the Exhaust

We all know that there are a pretty good amount of options when it comes to exhaust for our beloved 240's. Lets hear some opinions about exhaust that you would recommend or not recommend.

HotShot Header - love it, awesome product and good price!
Test Pipe - Cheap replacement for cat + better performance.
Megan Racing Cat back exhaust - "see hot shot detail"

All together about $600, can't beat it!

It's only a replacement in the regards that it replaces that section of exhaust with a hollow pipe. It provides absolutely NO emissions. I live in Fl and emissions are not checked. If you are planning on running a test pipe, I'd research local laws prior to installing a test pipe.

If you have the money or can find a high flow cat reasonable enough, get that. The cheapest I could find was 150 bucks on ebay.

Also, know that you will experience a slight exhaust smell at times. Most notably for me is when I back the car into the garage, but that's about it.

Greddy Power Extreme II (JDM)

It's not too loud and it has a very nice rumble/growl to it.

I cant comment on other setups because I havnt had any experience but this is a great product.

thnks for the lesson. i live in jersey so i will be getting a hi flo cat. i know it is absurdly dumb to ask, but has anyone ever thought about putting a flowmaster on? i would never do it although it sounds good on my chevy s-10.

Look around, I know rocky#### on this forum is a great supporter of high flows, he also lives in Jersey. Maybe get with him, he said he got one for like 50 bucks.

Don't put a flowmaster on a 240. Yeah, they sound okay on S-10's but I wouldn't imagine them sounding good on a 240. I owned a S-10, that had a flowmaster and it was a little loud for my taste.
