I just had an XTD stage one racing clutch installed. Now I'm having problems with air in the lines. I replaced the 14 year old Master Reserve Cylinder under the hood, and the Slave Cylinder on the tranny. Still no luck. The clutch still feels like its not engaging all the way. When I bleed the clutch is grabs fine in all gears for about 24 hours then the same problem. I'm not loosing any fluids. I'm thinking I need to upgrade the size of my clutch fluid lines. Or perhaps swaping parts off a 300z if they bolt up. Any ideas???

make sure all lines arent kinked anywere and theres nothing pinching them anywere as well.

Take out the damper box thingy, if you haven't already.

ya i replaced my slave cylinder too i had problems with air in the lines. i think i still might have a very little bit in the lines, but it works fine. i just kept bleeding the line over and over. idk if this helped any but when i was putting in the cylinder, i compressed the cylinder by hand then put it together and when i let go it sucked pure fluid so idk if that prevented any air getting in or not but it worked for me

and check to make sure theres no kink in the lines like 2fast4y0u said

Is the damber box located behind the slave cylinder on the tranny?

No, it's bolted to the frame rail inline between the slave cylinder and master cylinder. It makes bleeding the clutch a pain in the ass. Remove it and you should be set. Instructions are on this site: http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/32/47/

Finally got a chance to remove the damper. Hopefully, it has solved the problem.

The only thing I want to add to the post is that after you remove the damper and about to to make a straight connection into the slave cylinder. Be sure the threads match up. :dunno: I ended up stripping the threads on the clutch hose because of US and metric conflict. After the replacement hose came in, and the purchase of the adapter all is fine. Thanks for all the help guys.... Thanks!

You needed an adapter to make the clutch hose connect to the hard line from the master cylinder? That's really odd... Good thing it works now though.

I am going to be doing this on my 240 soon, What is the part that i may need if the threads dont match up?

You probably won't need any extra parts. But I needed to buy a Clutch hose with a US fitting to a metric fitting to connect the hard line to the slave cylinder. (about $10) I believe there was a previous repair on the car that caused the conflict. Just watch for it if it doesn't bolt up.
