Good clutches
I have to replace my clutch and good suggestions
|
If you just want an OEM replacement, you can get an EXEDY OEM clutch kit (pressure plate, clutch disk, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, alignment tool) off ebay for a little more than 100 dollars shipped. Its great, i even think that Nissan used Exedy discs originally in the 240sx, but not 100% sure on that.
If your going for more performance oriented, i have heard nothing but good things about ACT or Exedy as well. |
yeaup, just make sure its actually exedy.. as much as i defend ebay.. there is an knock off exedy seller on there.
i recommend http://www.ThePartsBin.com one of the best source for oem and aftermarket parts. i have use them time and time again awesome customer service and grade A parts |
I want a good clutch that can take some abuse but nothing like a racing one because they cost to much
|
If you dont plan on modding your car much then the OEM replacement Exedy clutch kit will be fine. My old one held up against plenty of abuse. Just make sure that your fly wheel is in good shape, if not, then get it resurfaced. Also break in the clutch, I usually just go easy on it for the first 500 miles.
And like meantioned above, make sure you get an actually exedy clutch. |
you can have an stage one clutch for about 180 bucks on that site. not bad at all
|
I just bought a XTD clutch from Aimco clutch, it was a six puck stage 3 for hella cheap, I havent used it yet but I will post when I do.
