Lsd ?

I'm just curious about what LSDs everyone uses and whether or not a stock one will work on my 89 (or if it's any good).
Any feedback is appreciated seeing as there are a few to chose from and a wide cost difference between ripping one off a car in the wreckers or buying a new one.
Thanks for you help.

buying a new one would be best bet but costs like 900 bucks.

You can use the diff out of a Infiniti J30, it bolts rite up. :thumb:

SE models come standard with VLSD....
Or you can go with a KAAZ limited slip for $850
Or an overly priced NIZMO for about $1000
Cusco also makes some sik dif for abot $950

Good point.
Yeah should of been more clear about the SE models... My 91 coupe came with VLSD, it's an se, but yeah not all did...........

Helghast 08-08-2005 12:05 AM

My SE didn't come with one.

And NISMO aren't over priced..I got one for $500+..Granted it was a hook up..but none the less. They rarely touch the $1k mark.

What's overpriced are there shoulder pads. DAMN!

Wow nice...Hoook up!

Antioch Nissan is tryin to sell the LSD for a G.... Never buy from the dealer.... Granted you can get them for cheaper.........
$500 is a bomb deal......
I was lucky and got VLSD on my ride, was probably installed from the guy that previously owned it before me.....
I want to upgrade probably to the KAAZ.......... Best bang for your buck, for reliability. Get off the line harder too..

Helghast 08-08-2005 12:44 AM

Kaaz is the way to go if you have to chose between the 3.

But I got mine cheap..so I went w. Nismo.

Cusco, If I remember.., are built by KaaZ too..just different name.

phreze 08-08-2005 08:02 AM

Nismo 2 way best for daily driver, kaaz and cusco are pretty much the same (made by same people, litle different specs, look, etc.)

Jandhi 08-08-2005 10:34 PM

Cool....
Thanks for your help guys. My choice is easier now. I really didn't want to rip out a half way baffed one from the wreckers anyhow.
Thanks
