Luke at Shock Drift

I Highly recommend this guy to anyone that is looking to get a welded diff. His customer service is way above any one else ive ever delt with. I sent him an old diff. a while back ago, and it had bad bearings, which i was unaware of, he welded it and shipped it back to me, put it in and found out my bearings were bad(i should have checked this before sending it off). I contacted him, and right away he told me just to send him another one, he will do it again free of charge. This guy is great, i cant count on two hands how many times i called him asking him questions about installing it and problems i was having, he was always willing to answer my questions with no hesitation.

If your going to get a welded, check this this guy out here is his website.

its 100 bucks for the whole deal witch is a hell of a deal because it will never have to be rebuilt and i think they are good for i think 450 whp.

zenkislider 02-22-2007 07:26 PM

version 3 is good for 450, after that they recommend moving to version 4. And version 3 is 60 dollars for all i listed above, and its 50 dollars if you just want it welded already out of the pump[kin, but then you have to instal it which is a headache...well for someone that has no idea what there doing.

just go version 3 its only 60 dollars. No rebuilds. No fancy diff fluid required. just hassle free

Luke is a great buddy of mine, he does a kick a** job with them diffs.

One thing that got me everytime on his personal webpage is his line:

"Blowing up motors since 1981" or was it 1982... I forget... but the guy is hella cool! Check him out at Formula D with his LS1 powered FD. That car is pure madness... I want that motor... in my 14...

Luke has been good with the 240community from what I understand. Many of my friends go to him for welded diffs. They don't break from what I have seen, and they are pretty popular.

Taking my diff to Luke for WeldLocd V4 upgrade in a month or so! Seriously CHEAP price for a diff that can take up to 450 hp. I wish I could get it done earlier, but he's swamped with work right now...

zenkislider 03-29-2007 07:21 AM

sweet, let us know how it is.

Ayuaddict 03-29-2007 12:31 PM

i was at his shop the other day, henry (yarou) got his diff welded by luke for like $60 for the stage 3 or something. well, its welded. the main reason we went to him was because of his guarantee. to be fair, my friend has busted one of lukes welded diffs in his corolla several years back however.

NiSmO Knight 03-29-2007 05:31 PM

Yes they still do break, but Luke does gurantee them. I cant wait for Luke to weld up my diff!

WeldLocd V4 Diff FTW! :checkeredflag: :headbang2:

smokins14 04-17-2007 06:20 PM

How are they for daily drivers?

NiSmO Knight 04-17-2007 06:22 PM

From what I hear, they are decent. Only gripe I can think of is in small turns and U-turns where the inside tire makes a scratching noise due to it rotating a little faster than it should but thats the down side to a welded diff.
