hey, i recieved a " z32 MAF " and i want to make sure that what it is. i got it for free so thats cool

numbers on it are
a36-000 029
4Y270orG cant tell its scratched off
the spot were you plug into says A B C D E F
its a metal piece not plastic like the ones i see online.
it also says JECS on it with the nissan logo, i know Jecs makes a lot of the injection/intake products for nissan so thats not big deal



any help would be great. i tried taking pics of it but they all sucked.

its a mass air flow sensor from a second-gen 300zx.

 

Probly dumb and posted all over the place but here. Is this used to tell the "computer" that you should let in more air into the engine through the air filter?
