well the quietest exhaust would be stock ....so use the 3" pipe and weld on a stock-like muffler.

ok heres a better question, what would be a quiet exhaust but still give you some performance? i dont mean it has to be super quiet but the stock exhaust is too restrictive to keep on for sound purposes. i know my friends greddy EVO exhaust is really quiet but i dont think they make them for s13's.

ive heard that the evo exahust on a S13 is pretty loud. Im guessing u can get a N1, those have performance and sum quietness.

Compaired to the EVO, the N1 is very loud. I have an evo on the Prelude and my friend has an N1 and honestly I would take an evo over it any day. Just too bad greddy doesnt make an evo for the 240 or I would have one on mine as soon as the engine swap is done.

evo is one of the most quiet aftermarket exhausts out, i dont know what your talking about. the n1 is not quiet at all, but its all i ever see or hear on 240's. whatever, i will make my choice when i see guys at the meet.

The EVO is one of the few exhausts out that is actually 50 state legal pushing the bill at about 90-95dB but still within legal sound ordanence. The N1 is something like 110-120 If I am not mistaken...I could be.

I am not sure about the Jasma Certification, but I heard that the 95dB mark is the loudest legal exhaust. I have also heard that it cant sound different than a stock exhaust at 50 feet...problem with that is even a stock exhaust varies in sound.

youve got to be kidding me, how can we make it sound the same as stock? that is pretty lame.

They are just trying to make it tougher for us to modify our vehicles...the way I see it is this...if what I do doesnt hurt anyone else, then it is my car...I own it, I should be able to do what I want to my personal property as long as it doesnt hurt others. But thats our government for you. I have never been pulled for modifications to my car so far...but my friend gets pulled all the time for a bunch of bs.

I was in a parking garage yesterday and my N1 dual was setting off car alarms. Keep in mind this was in a garage, where I was barely off idle at very low speed.
