Review: Asp Pully

Hey everbody,

its been a while since ive been back to this site but, i thought i could some what contirbute by making a review. its probably been reviewed many times but the review section looks dead.

A great alteritve over unothrodox's 200$ pully, when ASP whas only 119$. But thats not all thats good about ASP, like UNORTHODOX they have the stock timing marks on the pully. Does not come with belt but gives you the sizes. After the install and changed by belts as well only because my KA belts were cracked to hell.

Setup- 4-2-1 headers, apexi 3" catback, intake, catlatic conv,

Driving impressions: Responses were picked noticeably throungh out the RPMs, especially in the higher Rpms around 3800-redline. The most noticable power is placed on the higher RPMs where it starts pulling alot faster then before. Plus its idles normal with no dips past 600-500.

Overall im happy with this product, and had nothing but a good expierence.

Sweet man. How much lighter is it than the stock one?

I'd mostly be concerned with the long-term damage that the lightened piece would cause, but that does not seem to be an issue on the KAs (Turbo or not.) Please post if you have had rotational failures from lightened parts. I am very curious about this mod.

If you are going to add this, it's a good idea to give all pieces (crank pully, shaft, and flywheel) to the machine shop so that they can be balanced. Guarantee of reliability and true HP increase. So worth the money if you are building.

Don't know exactly how much lighter it is from stock but its definately lighter though.

Well ive been drivein about 20 days now and still now problems. But unforunately my hotshot headers cracked a bit affecting my accelerations so no long term review untill i get this fixed.

ya i should probably get a tune in the near future, too bad the closest dyno is about 3 hours away ( in NJ )

I'm completely against aluminum pulleys on stroker cranks. They don't make huge HP numbers and over time it just kills the bearings. Harmonics are something that people need to study before tghinking about purchasign aluminum pulleys. They do more harm over time than good.
