Strut bars
Who makes some well built and strut bar (front and back) to help stiffen up the ride and madke add some glimmer to the engine bay?
Thanx:thumb: |
I always liked the Cusco os strut bars since they are beefy. Score big if you find a nismo one. I have the front nismo strut bar but couldn't find a rear nismo strut bar (did they ever make one??) N-e ways i picked up a Cusco OS type bar and you could add a part which makes it a 3 Pointer. N-e ways hope this helps a little

I was gonna say that...grrrr. Yeah the rear OS bar has a part called the OS-T...it triangluates the rear strut towers to the floor pan=stiffy in the rear.

Cool. Thanks for the input. I am getting a Tanabe front strut back because Andy's Auto Sport advertised tail lights for my car, 3 weeks later, I get a call tell me that they no longer carry those lights...so I went with the Tanabe bar, and a nice refund.
Does anyone know where I can get tail lights for my 91 240SX? Thanks!!! |
You have a lot of choices there.....you can modify your stock ones (several ppl on here have that..look at s13240's car), you can buy ebay altezza style (chrome or black)...you can get those and then modify them (looks good), or you can go all out and get the kouki 180 taillights
Stock: Free Ebay altezza: Usually $50-100 Kouki: $400+ |
does it really matter name brand for the sturt bars.

I don't think so, however, I beleive you should have something that is going to actually probivide stability, other wise your just waisting time & $$$.

+1 to that

Get ones that are not adjustable

CUSCO!!!!!! LOL, most functional for the price.
And yes, Nismo makes / made a rear strut bar upper and lower. Dont know if it ever made to the US. I swore I saw it in the Nismo catalog when they first came to the US. I could be wrong. Then again, Nismo is starting to carry less and less at the dealers and their web site. I guess the market here isnt as popular back in Japan. But then again, who the hell wants to pay the rediculous mark-up from those a-hole dealers? When they first came to the US, the Nismo carbon fiber shift knob was only 75 bux with dealer mark-up. A year later, they want over 150? And to have that in a Nismo edition 350z, they charge 200? What a load of crap. Im not even going near the prices for my S14, but jus to make some ppl cringe, they wanted 500 for the front sub-frame (the silver pretty looking one)... Prices are now cooling down, but 1.) dealers aren't carrying majority of the products for 240 anymore and 2.) the dealers are hiring some dumb @$$ ppl to wrk the counters. Back to subject, Cusco makes some kick a$$ strut bars. Come to think of it... We have the Cusco front bar and 3 point rear upper strut bar in our Formula D car... I like it... Also have Cusco in the rear suspension. |
i gotta piece of PVC duct taped to my valve cover
