Tein HE (suspension for the sideways driver)

i just recently bought & installed my tein he' s on my 95 240. the install took less than a hour and a half, and adjusting the ride height was a breeze. its a 30 way adjustable dampening coilover, with full body threaded shocks, upper pillow ball mounts, and all the necesary hardware. before when i asked about this suspension, many people told me it would be to rough for the streets. this coilover is not the one for you if you dont plan on actually DRIVING your car. if you want a daily driven mildly tuned grocery getter, i suggest the tein ha's. they are soft and comfortable with a 336/280 spring rate with a 16 way adjustable as compared to the HE's which are 448/336 with 30 way. the hardest setting on the HE's will get you dizzy and a pretty good headache, the softest setting is actually very nice (to me). i can take turns at 80 and hold it with good tires. i havent tried to drift with it yet, because tickests are way too expensive, and doing it on public roads is just retarded. i would suggest a LSD if you do get the HE's because this suspension makes your chassis like a wood board. when i first backed off my driveway, i got stuck with one tire in the air. open differentials suck just to clarify everything. its alright, i'll have my lsd in soon enough. i was very impressed with the quality of these coilovers. everything was just perfect. i had to throw my stock wheels back on the front because i had a +42 offset 17x8.5 that cleared under cheap springs and stock struts. i believe that their website said to get nothing larger than a +38 for the fronts of s13s as well as s14s.
the upper PBM's are also really cool, got to adjust the camber within minutes. it's really awesome. i am really happy with my purchase, and plan to start auto crossing now since i dont have the blown shock problem anymore, and i just wanted to share experience since this is a review section. pictures will be posted up later today.
