do u think it would be feasible for me to rig up a HUD on my fastback (=analog speedo)?

 

You could if you wanted to. It will take time. I have both clusters and will be writing up a tech article on them.

You cannot just plug and play the two. They have different plug setups. Thing is they both rely on the same signal source. So wiring up a conversion could be done.

It will just take time and some patience.

 

didn't the coupes come stock with digital speedos? i test drove one once and it had a digital speedo.

i'm looking forward to the tech article. let me know when you finish it.

also, do u have a price estimate for what it would cost me to rig one up? thanks.

 

My car came with the digi speedo. I planned to swap it to analog so I wouldn't have to deal with the HUD. I am glad I stuck it out and got a HUD.

The tech article will be posted when I have some free time. Things are hectic here. Trying to purchase a home and paperwork is killer.

You can get used HUDS from $50 - $300. Depending on the seller and the condition.

The work/labor is all on you. Free if you do it yourself paid with food for a friend and money if you hire an electrician.
