97-98 front nissan to nissan truck conversion!

I am trying to gather some research on the the demensions of the 97-98 240sx hood, fenders, and bumber so i can attempt to convert/graft onto a nissan harbody truck.

I know some of you will not agree, but they said the same pest. things about the skyline clip converion on the hardbody trucks!

I am aware of the fab. welding, etc. involved in an attempt like this. Since this is a 240 nsimo site. I was wondering where i can get these parts cheap. Even damaged, because i dont think i will be able get the fenders right the first time.

As you guys know, anything can be done, just need a will and a way.

Thank you for thought on this, will be a great help. E-mail more detailed stuff to retiznarted@yahoo.com if you want to help out!

Interesting...that's the first time I've ever heard of that idea.

i think you may be thinking of the skylines and the silvias that have been converted to 'el camino" style...they weren't trucks converted with a clip .... maybe i'm thinking of something else but oh well

good luck anyways

Sounds like a cool idea. It brings back memories of when I tried to get mt dad to swap an sr20 into his 84 king cab

so, you guys gonna help me out? Need the demensions of the bumper from inside to inside outside to outside. Same with the fenders and hood!

I do not have 4 grand. to drop on a sr equiped front clip. So mostly looking for those body parts, even damaged/salvageable.
Im thinking i might have to use the 240 sx front member piece too.

I went looking around a few junk yards, no luck, had a guy tell me, even if he had the parts it would be like 2,000$ because 95% of wreks occur in the front end.

HELp?

You're going to have a hard time finding the parts... the 97-98 240sx was an extremely low volume car. You can try
www.car-part.com to search salvage yard inventories.

You could find a complete S14 for less than you will likely spend on this project. Hey, it's your money and time... but I'd say sell the truck (before you go hacking it up) and find a project car.
