It's a good plan, I mean the 240 is a beautiful car by itself....and to make it a sleeper....would totally catch others off guard when you pull up to the line....I say if that's what you want....go for it...

Re: all GO no SHOW

i agree with the sleeper motif all the way...

the funny thing is that anyone who looks at a car judges it by how it looks...except for the real car enthusiasts...

Yea..i totally feel you on the no exterior mods. Well the only time i will do exterior is when I feel that i am pretty much done with engine and suspension modifications. Nothing big though...

nothing against it, but i think you can make a 240 look extremely awesome with some of the body kits out there or with a conversion, and along with my power (that i now have) i am planning on some show.

Sleepers man, there are a lot more than you think. It's all what you wanna do with your car. Myself, I don't have the $$ to make mine fast or look amazing, so I'm just going for the clean lowered look. Sleepers are getting more popular though, and i've been in a BEATER 91 civic with a b series motor turbo'd, that runs 13's, and we had soooo much fun spanking 5.0's left and right.

I'm totally on your side, man.

Get some decent power then a nice suspension set up and you're ready to rumble. Exactly my plan.

Hopefully our cat-back won't give us away...

Sleepers dont always equal a car thats less prone to been pulled over or getting jacked. I know one person that got his 240 with a SR jacked and it was a TOTAL sleeper. Stock exterior..stock rims and aftermarket exhaust. i know another person that got pulled over not once...but twice. And his car is a sleeper as well..only mods from the outside is the exhaust and rims. You will still be prone to getting pulled over or being a victim of robbery...just making sure you all know that.

hyjnx, I agree to a certain extent, once people know your car is a sleeper everyone will know it and it can be broken into. However, without chrome 18' rims and sparco racing seats and an audio system there isn't much for them to steal, heh. Either way definately an alarm! There are ways to get an aftermarket exhaust to look stock, my friends buddy drives a SC tegra that looks ALL stock that beats 5.0's.

Over here in south cali cars are prone to the tow away...they tow the car to either a garage or the middle of no where...take out the engine and everything they can and leave the shell there. Its happen to a couple people i know.

All Gois the way to be. However some exterior mods are cool. My coupe will have a silvia face but they'll also be power to back it up.
