Felt dash interior?

I'd ideally like to keep the interior of my car and not go ripping off door panels and such, so on that note...

I was looking for something to cover the dull and cheap looking grey plastic all over the dash, has anyone covered it in black suede or felt? I'm thinking more along the lines of felt, seems cheap and easy enough, yet classy and not neon.

I'm really just toying with the idea, so thoughts, suggestions and flames are all welcome.

when i think of suede/felt inside a car, i think huge caddy pimp mobile. i don't think it'd look good on 240, almost rice :-/ but hey, maybe you can pull it off !

one of the sickets (as in gross) things i saw, my uncles neighbor caoted his entire exterior with that astroturf stuff. it might have been heavy duty, maybe carpet, but that plasticy feel. this was on his pickup. that's just wrong...

damnit, I know what your thinking and really can't describe it any better than it's like a material that looks black but when you touch it it feels soft, not like the plastic on our cars. I saw it in I THINK the all carbon fiber evo or some other race car. I',m not into fabrics but I saw it once and fell in love with it. I can't find any pictures, maybe someone else can.

LEs has suede on the door panels and the glove compartment from what I know. Mine however is very worn down and no longer resembles suede, lol.
