is this a good trade hatch for coupe?

here is the deal i am looking at trading bottombunk my 91 coupe for his 91 hatch. On the coupe it needs alot of body work and paint. It also has no front end body panels or bumper, but I have the Siliva conversion and wondering if I should stay with the Silvia or go Sileighty. He also wants to throw in a Sparco steering wheel. Now with the hatch it needs no paint or body work. All it needs a engine.

a fastback is a hatch, that would mean he should trade it. i have the hatch. if he did kept his it would then be converted to look like a silvia.

no **** it would be lame to call it a sileighty b/c its not a 180sx
hence "silfourty fastback"

How do you have the siliva conversion if you have no front body panels or bumper? Do you just have the lights and hood?

phreze he has the fenders bumper lights and hood. what he means is the car doesnt have a front end as in it wont be part of the trade, and since the car never had any other front end to put back on it.

I like coupes myself even though I have a fastback. I say go with whatever is cleaner and whichever would require less work. You said the coupe needs body work and paint. If you want to spend the money and time and effort to do all the necessary work on the coupe, then go for it. When it comes down to it, it's all about body style preference and money.

I like the coupe better too. Not as many coupes and with the Silvia front end they look like they were meant to be together. One of our customers finally got his painted land rover green with gold pearl clear looks beautiful. Cost him about $2800 they pulled the front end, glass, trim, and everything.
