try the paint thinner idea. But work up to it. Try rubbing alcohol first, it may remove the paint, I doubt it, but it may and it's not as harsh as paint thinner.
If that doesn't work. Sand it and paint it black or dark grey to match. At least then if it chips, it won't be as obvious.

HA!! You got riced!! lol
but why don't you just spray over it with the stock color?? Black will cover up a lot of surface flaws anyway.

not a 240, but my friend bought a '89 CRX and quite a few of the interior panels were painted red and he wanted to put it back to black. So after he got it we started the de-ricing project. We got some parts like heater vents, and door handles from a junkyard, but for the dash pieces and stuff like that we just bought some primer, paint, and clearcoat interior paint, from a local auto parts store. We took off the red pieces, washed them, then primered, painted, and clearcoted them. Came out pretty damn good, couldn't tell they were even painted

Lol someone "riced" my 240, every little accessory from the dash to the vents was painted and it looks like CRAP. Not to mention the array of swiches he had to control any number of cool things like the winshield washer nozzles! fog lights and even my guage clusters backlight! Stupid idiot now i have to clean up his electrical disaster of a mess.

My wifes last car was that way, white accented crap everywhere. I popped all the parts out, washed them in hot soapy water and mixed up some leftover single stage gumetal auto paint, and sprayed it on with one of those hobby airbrushes. I'm not this picky but just had all this stuff kicking around so why not?

I have 5 lug R33 brakes on my S13 they are awesome!

You can always repaint them white again, but you gotta get the black light for the dome light then you'll really be pimpin lol

Mmm...you could use watered down paint thinner...like 1 part paint thinner, 2 parts water. That might work.

go to the grocery store and get lighter fluid... the stuff in the yellow squeeze bottle... for zippo lighters... put just the smallest amount on a rag and wipe the hell outta it... takes forever... what i did was use fine snad paper and dremel sanding attachments on my dremet tool to get it all off... a while back i posed pics of an old integra where there were a few painted parts that never chipped cracked or faded... but that is because the right paint was used...

Initial, not to rib on you, but watering down paint thinnner would be a disaster. Water and thinnner dont mix, so they stay separate, so really you did nothing but make a mess... the thinner stays just as strong, and the water only makes it a bigger hassle... i'd say lighter fluid, thinner, or some mineral spirits... that always does the trick on crappy paint
