Let's play "Name That Kit!"

Hey all, I know you've seen this car before because it's very, very cool. I have a little problem... My mind keeps switching between modifying a '95 S14 and an early '90s Fastback. I was looking @ this car again and DAMN! I want to do a Type-X rear conversion sooooo bad, just looks so nice! Can anyone tell me what rear, sideskirts and wing this car has? Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

Did some looking around - I think the wing comes stock on Type-X's. Am I right? If so where could I get my hands on one?

just so you know, you can find the real DJ elektrique on the board at www.streetracing.org
He is a cool guy.

GP Sports, wing is stock. and Mike is a personal friend of mine. I met him 2 years ago and stayed at his house. last year we went drifting in his silvia.

it could also be a GGrow kit, they are pretty similar. the side skirts i think may be stock as well.

SS and wing are stock
not sure about the rear -- it could be a stock JDM OEM rear valence.
the whole car is technically stock (not sure about the rear); the guys off freshalloy said the front had holes cut into the stock kit etc. etc.
the reason why i think the rear is a stock rear valence is that the front has the JDM OEM front lip..

stock kit...the red one has a larger lip

battlestylespl Apr 16, 2002 11:16 PM

the sideskirts are thicker too...i dunno but it says vertex on the door. but the kit does not look like a vertex kit

That is definately the G-Grow kit. Looks like the type 1 kit.

I want that kit so bad!

I 2nd that. It's definately GP Sport, G-Grow has less vents and looks like a lower version of the stock TypeX body

Look at the turn signals and the lip on the GP Sports kit

(Here's the link)

Now look at the turn signals/fog lamps and the lip on the G-Grow

GP Sports also makes a kit with the kouki turn signals

downhillbattle Apr 23, 2002 12:50 PM

whats the kit on that white 180 parked next to the red GP sport one? They look to be similar, except the side skirts aren't as agressive and beefy as the GP kit

UnderAgeEnthusi Apr 23, 2002 04:35 PM

Awesome! Thanks a lot for the info guys, you've been a big help!

No they don't. Look at the web site. I can't believe you guys don't see how obvious it is that, that is the g-grow kit.
