Mounting R32 front-end conversion

Whats up peeps.

I own a 1990 240sx coupe pig-nose.

I was wondering if anyone in particular has had experience swapping in JDM R32 Skyline front-end pieces (bumper, hood, fenders, lights).

In half a day my friends and I took off all the OEM front pieces ( the bumper was a ***** w/ so many bolts), and test-fitted the R32 front-end pieces. However, there are a few problems we ran into, and I'd just like to hear how others may have resolved them before tackling with the fabrication ourselves:

-matching the hood open/close latch with that of 240sx?
-swapping different hood hinges?
-1" gap between hood and fenders?
-fenders wider than the doors/ overlapping doors?
-cutting into bumper reinforcement so that bumper fits on?
-fabricating light brackets...

It just boggles my mind cuz look at this? its so clean!

if you saw one executed by an individual or a company that turned out to be really clean i bet you you wouldn't say that.

are you blind? is your definition of "clean" ****ty looking and not good craftsmanship?

look at the fender gap and alignment. tell me if its straight or evenly spaced.

is it? yes/no?

and if you still think its clean looking you probably think this living condition is clean as well

you have VERY low standards.

i seen a gunmetal R32 skyline that use to be a 240sx coupe. it was cleanly done, but i still say "why?!" all the effort put in, it's still a 240...

to be different. having all the same parts gets old.

ex... sr20 swap in the us at least.-------> OLD.

tell it to all the guys who swap in sr20's in their coupe and get the fron end s13 conv. and call it a LHD silvia. it's still a 240 right?

Come on man you know it'll be clean

***meanwhile ... it's officially time

I dont own a 240 to be showy, I dont own a 240 to be unique. I own a 240 because I like the 240, and I want it to bring the pureness of the car out on a track, the Silvia heritage. Not to have a buncha plastic surgery cover up my 240. If you want your car to look like another, face it, you don't like your 240, you just like that other car.

well this is the 4th one of these i've seen, ALL of them, even the ones from japan, looked crappy. I don't think this is an exception (so far anyways)... every forum about this topic gets locked, LOL, I think there's a corrolation there.

Seriously, true enthusiats are all going to say the same thing, "wtf, just get skyline if u wanna look like one so bad".

But! If you're in it for the praise and the looks and "originality" **COUGH_COUGH***, you'll be sure to get some praise from the ricers and the honda crowd that is less familiar with the details and just know the buzzwords...

I think it, and all your posts defending it, makes u look like a great big poser, HOWEVER! it should make NO DIFFERENCE what I think, as long as YOUR project makes YOU happy. Remember it should be the car itself that makes u happy, not others' reaction to it....

Do you look back at your car with a loving smile as u walk away from it in a parking lot?
or do you look around the lot to see who's looking at your car?

As long as it's the former, who cares what we all say... Poser. LOL

lol...what is this the jr. phsychiatrist club?...anyways there was a white one in the mebers ride thread that was pretty damn clean...i think theres nothing wrong with changing the exterior of your car...id personaly keep it nissan...and if people drooling over your car makes YOU happy then thas koo...personaly i really dont care about how my car LOOKS...more the attitude of the car...a good stance and a just a charge speed bumper and silvia front end thats gonna get ripped apart the first week i get it is perfect for me...its like girls...they get older...and the exterior can get ****ed up...thats why you gotta love the soul mayng...........and a ****ed up exterior is less stress...dont have to worry about your super duper deep dish pizza rims...and your super low samurai ninja shogun wasabi soysauce body kit imported from taiwan....
