Hey. I joined the forums a long azz time ago but never really did anything here, it was back when I was a newbie and wanted to join the Sr bandwagon, hence the name. Well that was a long time ago and since then I have opted to go in a difference direction, deciding that Ka-T is for me. That was why I was happy to find my current 240 a while back. My first one was parted out due to the lackluster frame thanks to Michigan/Chicago Rust. That one was a 1989 Hatch with a Ka24De swapped in, Ka-T in mind. Well the one I have now is a 1991 Hatch and I like it because everything for the Ka24De IS WHERE ITS SUPPOSE TO BE!! Lol, Well without furthur adoo, My Hatch:








Modifications:

Engine: 100% Complete 1993 Ka24De Engine (60,000 Miles) with HardRace Motor Mounts, KOYO Aluminum Radiator, Enjuku Racing Cooling Panel, Dual Flex-a-Lite Fans. I have NGK IX Iridium Spark Plugs, NGK Blue Spark Plug Wires, Optima Redtop Battery & 4 Quarts of Royal Purple Synthetic Oil ready to be installed.

Suspension: KSport Coilovers, Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms, Adjustable Traction Control Arms, Front Camber Plates, Rear Subframe Bushings, Old School Suspension Techniques Front Sway Bar, Front Strut Bar, Welded Differential.

Exterior: Black SE Rims.

Interior: (All from previous owner) JVC Headunit, Rockford Fostgate AMP & 12" Sub, "Custom Black Interior" which all need to be replaced.

Parts Waiting To Be Installed: Version 1 C's Short Shifter, ASP Underdrive Pulley.

Parts On Order: NISMO Thermostat, OEM 180sx Side Skirts (If the fuhker ever sends them, has had money for a week).

Long Term Plans: Ka24DeT, Major Suspension work: Replace KSports with Stance & Other Components with SPL, Replace Sways with Progress. Strip interior. Custom Pignose Conversion (You'll see) w/ Xenon lip, Custom Blue Paint, Shave Antenna/Wiper/Rear Side Markers/3rd Brake Light, OEM 180 Skirts, Rear Lip. OEM Carbon Fiber Hood... Looking to go Sleeper Style.

Thanks, yes the paint is the 240's orignal, very good condition, no fadeing or anything of the sort. The previous owner did the wheels, it looks nice, the chrome lip is a nice touch.

At this point in time, there are a few things that I need to take care of before carrying on with this part of the project. My first 240 was a Pignose and I love the squared body style, so I really would like to go through with it. Although, a Chuki on coilovers w/ Xenon front lips are very sexy, so I am not in that much of a rush.

Another reason the pignose would be a good idea is, if you see, I have the Enjuku Cooling panel, which is very hard to get now I may add, If I were to place a Front Mount in front of the opening, the Radiator is not going to get that much air flow. With the cooling panel and the Pignose "Vents" cut open air will be routed to the engine, therefor getting the airflow needed to cool down. With the Chuki, the whole front opening will be blocked with the front mount, and no other way to route air to the engine, and I am not about to prop the rear of my hood open... See its not just for the looks.

 

car is coming out nice man!!! where did u get that front nose at? i've been trying to swap my body kit out for stock bumpers for a while now and can't find any in my area!!!

 

I wish it was my 1st 240's, that way I have something to remember it by, but the previous owner chopped it. This bumper was purchased from a friend that I met offline and his parents were pissed that it was lying around. He was going back and forth between Chuki's and Pignoses on his last, but has a new 240 now so he is done going back and forth.

If you have any pick and pulls or junkyards in the area, give them a call, maybe they will have one. If not always hit the car forums, they are always parting out 240's, sadly. I am a member of ALOT of forums and check the classifieds daily to see if I can catch some deals.

 

Do you still have the trunk panels and carpet and cover and stuff? im looking to buy basically a full trunk interior and cover in either black or grey

Yes, I can not wait to go Ka-T. I am going to take my time and do it right, with a shop like AMS (Turbo240) local to me, it will be just that much easier. This is and will be my daily driver, I am going to shoot for 350-400 Horsepower to the wheels. Like I said, I have time to piece it together, I am not going to cheap out, I am going to take my time and do it right.

 

You are about a week to late... I had Two 240's worth of Car interior, from my first 240 and from my friend's 240. I sold the carpet and trashed all the rest of the stuff; I needed my room back. All of it was stored there for, I would say, 6 months. My car now has its interior. If you would like, when I strip it, I can contact you; It should be within the next 2 months I would say. I am going to do a 1 Day install for my interior, major transformation. Like I said I can message you and see if you are still in need/interested.

Lol its ok, the sub has been sold to my friend and the cleance is fine. You should have just got a Carbon Fiber hatch and went to the junkyard, at least make it seem worth the money, lol. $500.00 for hatch glass is crazy , damn you Nissan!
