I started off with a bone stock 1991 240sx Hatch:

-Super Hicas
-Automatic
-ABS
-VLSD
-Rust free
-bone stock

The car was everything you don't want, and everything you wanted. I made some terrible mistakes, when i got the car, I didn't know that it was blown up. My brother owned it for a week, stopped working, at the time he didn't know **** about cars, so he gave it to me. I'm 15. I own a site called 240sxfamily.com. So anyways, My first mistake was, buying baby blue paint, and ricing the car out, with calipers and a valve cover, etc...Second was buying just a muffler. Those are being corrected..Here's the day i got it.

cool...check you pm

jramosthe1st! Jul 6, 2009 09:30 AM

other than some minor details, i'd say you're off to a good re-start.

Nickmerrone Jul 6, 2009 10:30 AM

What are those minor details?

i still don't like the header, theoretically, a 4-2-1 header is better suited for the ka. other than that it's just a difference of opinion, so it's nothing to lose sleep over.

battosaii930 Jul 6, 2009 05:20 PM

thats a Pacesetter header right? i hate the flange and the donut gasket it uses with a passion lol

Nickmerrone Jul 6, 2009 07:27 PM

Eh, i dont like how that header works either, but its whatever.

i move on the 15th, i found a oem one w/ hoses for 30 local...i might get it. It'll take me a while to get it. im thinking about just waiting. If i buy the oem one, i'll have somewhere near 100 extra cash so i can like buy some suspension stuff or something..

Anyways, motors in, front springs are in..im currently drag car status..haha. I plan to do the subframe on sunday, along with rear springs and bushings and ****..also, the exhaust and rad, if i get the radiator..

I have to swap alternators, as the s14 ground thing doesnt fit around the bolt...yeah, i know im lazy, i was wondering if i could just cut the wire, and put a bigger thing on it so it fits on the bolt? would that work?

dizzys in, plugs, wires are in. the cars like 90 percent wired up. I'm really happy that the cars together now. I'm just hoping nothing else can go wrong...There was on and off rain today, that pissed me off. haha, valve cover is RUINED, im in the search of an s14 ka valve cover if anyone has one....I need to buy it just to get powder coated.

Make sure you keep those plug wires away from your header. They will melt really fast.

Nickmerrone Jul 8, 2009 03:30 PM

thanks for the heads up. (:

Still wont start.
Already ordered my strut bars. (; they should be in tommorow..

today i used rubberized undercoating in the hatch, looks so good.

cleaned up more. then installed clutch pedal and mc, etc. need to bleed my clutch line, brakes, p/s, etc. still. I put my seat back in cause i can have it in there now. the hood and lights are gloss black, the rest of the car is flat, i plan to paint the roof and hatch the same colors too. until i can get a paint job i think this looks nice.

Pics now..But still doesnt start, didn't have time to take out my starter yet. I was putting my brothers mustang interior back in so that someone will like it more when they come to see it, and it wont be gutted. Theres a buncha pictures below of the progress i've made since the motors been in. I just wish it would start. It sucks doing most of this my self, cause I really have not a clue about getting the car running. I was told this will just drop in and plug and play, but it seems to not be going this way, i also need a hand bleeding everything tommorow if anyone wants to come give a hand..It'd be appreciated. Thanks if anyone does.. The fans are wired up somewhat, they just need to go to a 12volt source i think and its done.
