Polish Valve cover
 
I have a sohc engine. the valve cover paint is falling apart.what materials or machine do i use to "polish" my valve cover? does any of yall have pics of polished,powdercoated or painted valve covers. thanks

im not sure, but dont u have to "sand it" and "grind it."

wasnt someone talking about this before.. its better off taking it to a shop... someone will respond with the price... its nice when u see it at a show.. a polished engine...

i got it from a guy on Altimas.net, but hes from Maximas.org..............i dont know if he has any more but you can try...........his screen name is 1MAX2NV .................it cost me $150 shipped..................:cool:

yeah, you start out with a rough grade of sandpaper and the sand it down good with a fine grade of sand paper. it takes a lot of time and elbow grease.

It takes a little too much time and only comes out ok. WHen you get it polished/powder coated. Total difference.

powder coated is the way to go...doesnt fall apart and self polishing takes forever and you can screw up and make it look like crap, just spend the xtra $$$
