Seems like a decent crowd on here.

I am just getting bored with the other forums i am on... (so many)

battosaii930 07-25-2007 06:37 PM

damn i was looking at ur s13 and was thinking to myself what a nice car then i see the pic with the hood open (i know ur title says RB25DET+S13) i was like WOAH i dunno why i wasnt expecting the engine bay to be that sexy LOL! :bigok:

Biggamehit 07-25-2007 06:42 PM

Wowzzyness.... welcome brother.

TomTomTuning 07-25-2007 06:47 PM

haha.. Yea i guess its alright.... thanks...

I honestly want to pay a little more attention to the bay when i take the motor out soon. i was always a fan of SUPER DUPER clean bays.

There are several things ill be doing to the engine bay once the motor comes out.

Powder coat parts
Smooth the intake manifold then powder coat
Shave holes
Re-paint
Re make intercooler piping
etc...etc...etc.

That will all be done when i pull the motor out, and the car goes to the body shop to get repainted, at that time i will also add the rear valences. And i might also take the wheels apart to get re polished an coated.

So much work/money.. GRRRR

No Vertex doesn't make a wing for the coupe

Biggamehit 07-25-2007 07:01 PM

im just not a fan of any type of body kit... your body is clean as it stands now. i however do respect and honor every persons taste.

battosaii930 07-25-2007 07:02 PM

Origin looks super clean i like it

Its not a "Body kit" Its the stock OEM bumper that came on a special Silvia

I also don't like body kits, hence why i went with this frontend, I also don't like the standard Silvia bumpers

I like it too, but what kinda scares me is, i don't have any thing else CF.
If i got a CF hood, or a CF grill then it might be better..

Ill have to think about it a little more

battosaii930 07-25-2007 07:07 PM

paint it! it will look like ur color but when u look at it from an angle u can see the carbon weaves = sexy

Paint the CF wing?
If you paint it, you wont see the CF.. unless its like a transparent paint

silviaks2nr 07-25-2007 07:11 PM

maybe they make a fiberglass version instead. i agree with painting carbon fiber, i think it looks a little cheezy on a car that doesn't have a matchingi paint scheme. since your car is all red i think you should keep it that way, it flows really well. oem is always the way to go if possible

battosaii930 07-25-2007 07:13 PM

thats not true you can still see it look go up to an evo 8 look at the wing the painted part is CF if u look at it from an angle you can see the weaves. btw dosnt work if its an evo 9 cause they came with fiberglass wings with a CF middle, the 8 is all CF

Must be some sort of different paint, or clear.

Regular automotive paint, will not allow you to see the CF.
I know this for a fact. I have a friend who got an CF hood and painted it.
And you could not see the CF at all.

I tried looking up Evo8 wings, but no go. I am actually checking out an Evo8 this week at a pre owned dealer, so ill make sure to peep out the wing.

Fries 07-25-2007 10:28 PM

Go Origin. The car looks so nice, body makes it seem like its a newer car. The only thing that makes the s13's seem old is them taillights, OLDSKOOL is straight tytness though :D

NcTwOfOuRtY 07-26-2007 12:09 AM

nicce im likin basically the whole car..everything.

TomTomTuning 07-26-2007 06:11 AM

yea id like to get the origin crystal smoked lights

http://storesense.megawebservers.com...mokedtails.jpg

silviaks2nr 07-26-2007 11:38 AM

yeah those would look really nice, especially if you picked up a pair of the crystal corner lights and clear headlamp covers. You could even do an hid retrofit in there to top things off and give it a newer look.

HKST04Z 07-26-2007 12:14 PM

nice coupe man, thats what i wish my coupe looked like

SilviaVerT 07-26-2007 12:44 PM

WOW .....Nice CAR!!!!!!

Bryan 07-26-2007 01:53 PM

Welcome to club240 man, car is looking good. (This is Bryan, the guy that made pa-nissans and lives in HBG lol)

TomTomTuning 02-04-2008 01:46 PM

7 month since this thread has been posted in.

So Just a re-cap... The Engine harness got fried when we connected a Power FC. It was a result of a bad wiring conversation that was done by someone who no longer is in business.. (go figure). I have a Harness on the way (Finally). So the car will be alive again next week.

* Install new harness

* Clean up the wiring after installing the harness.

* Fix a small oil leak from the left valve cover. (That should be pretty easy)

* Adjust TPS, Idle, then timing..

* Oil and spark plug change.

And then out for some test spin's. I know i had some clunking noises from the LSD, but i am not sure if it just needs broken in, or i might have to replace the diff. I already have another one. So thats easy.

If all goes well the car will be on the road ASAP.... It will still be garaged, but ill pull it out on the nice days.

I am going to leave the stock T3 on the car for the most of the year, so i can at least enjoy my car. But once fall comes around, the car will be put back in the garage.. Motor will be pulled out.. Disassembled, somethings changed. Engine bay cleaned up. And then put back in with a 35R, fuel upgraded and some sort of EMS.

The car with the stock turbo at about 14lbs should run Mid to high 12's.
My power band is going to be a little different since i have the larger plenum with with the stock turbo. And since i am going to rock the Stock ECU, i cant really tune it out. But we will see how the car is. I hope everything goes well.

energy0uth 02-04-2008 01:55 PM

sweet....good luck EVO's and 240's ftmfw!

94Boy 02-04-2008 03:24 PM

Dude that s13 is VERY nice. I will tell you this KEEP the stock body or I will kill you lol.

240SS 02-05-2008 10:01 PM

Very clean man. i though of getting those wheels. Although I like them a bit larger. Im thinking of going 18-19 stagger with a 9 and 10 inch combo.

HPF Chrisk 02-06-2008 07:32 AM

What intake are you using? Is it just a custom pipe conected to the maf?

BILLYhoang 02-15-2008 09:59 AM

nice ..... that motor looks all cozy and snuggled in there !

I had some Staggered 18in Super Advans SA3R's a while ago. The 18 Work wheels where just to expensive plus tires are crazy expensive as well. But i'm happy with the 17's
