Update:

The motor work has begun. I spent some time today installing the crank, the main bearings, main caps/girdle and the rear main seal. The bottom is buttoned up with ARP fasteners so it should be nice and strong. I will be in the shop on Wednesday afternoon, and the next step is the forged pistons and rods. I'll get some pics after the rotating assembly is completely in the car.

No Batto, I'm building this myself. The prof at school is telling me what to do since I've never built an engine, but I'm doing all the wrench work.

As for my engine control, I'm not sure yet but the MegaSquirt seems like a cool item. It's cheap, open source, and I build it. Just like the rest of the project.

I've got some time to decide on everything ECU wise thanks to the mustang. For thos who don't know I broke the transmission (****ty *** Tremec) racing 2 weeks ago and need to get it fixed. There are also a load of other maintenence issues that have suddenly appeared including tires, diff, and brakes that need addressed. I finally see what people say FORD is an acronym for Found On Road Dead. Not any more issues than any other brand, but they all happen at once....

Project is on hold for the forseeable future. The Mustang has destroyed it's transmission and I need to take the time to save and repair it before i can invest more money in the Nissan Project.

Next week is the last week of school, so I will be getting a hand putting the timing gear on. Should be ready to start soon, but will wait for the turbo first...

Not really any new research, though I have heard that a T3/T4 is a good choice, I need to sit down and actually do the math once the semester is over...

I'm hoping that when all is said and done, people interested in building a KAT will be able to look at my build and use it as a guide.

So I have been working in DC all summer and havent gotten to work on the motor at all, nor the car. When I get home in August I will get back to wrenching on the car and ordering my turbo equipment. A few updates as well....

I am going to do the car in a WWII Japanese Imperial Navy theme. This means Aircraft inspired paint job, ADI system as opposed to a huge intercooler, and some aircraft inspired interior bits.

Paint job will be based off of this paint scheme!
