s14 lighting

as i still have no clue as to what im going to do with the 240 im exploring all my options, including not doing the s15 front end.

does anyone know of a place that sells new lights for the s14 (95-96). either very clean looking "regular" lights, or the projection/angel eyes/ i dont know what you call them lights

thanks in advance

New headlights can be obtained through the dealer, or some good used ones on ebay, otherwise cleaning them is not hard jus use some meguires two step plastic cleaner (you can purchase the kit for 20 bucks on their website). If you want projectors i suggest you convert your front end to the much sexier kouki front end

I agree...buying new headlamps thru the dealer really isn't all that expensive. I think theey come close to $230 a piece....just a tad cheapee then paying $800 for a pair of S15 headlamps no???

Yah S15's go for around $800. but the guy said "...including NOT doing the S15 front end".

Kouki front end is nice with the factory projectors. OBX supposedly made projector headlights for the Zenki S14's, but all I've seen is talk and no actual product or photos.

The plastic cleaner trick works if you have the patience... but if you have the $$ just go to the dealer and get new headlights. At least you'll get some sort of warranty on them too.

Yea you can do the dealership thing, but there are a couple more options. You can go for the JDM glass headlights, or do a projector conversion on your current headlights. Get a projector set up from a BMW and modify your current headlights to fit it. Of course its not as easy as it may seem but it IS a option

thanks for all the input guys. since there is no easy way to obtain nice crisp light witht the zenki front end, im taking this as a sign that my original plan of s15 conversion is still the right one, haha.

i have a couple favors to ask for those with s15 converted s14's (particularly anyone who took a 95-96 and made it s15)

one: what were the main problems you experienced in doing the conversion

two: if you have a digital camera and are ever thinking about it, could you take a picture as to how the lights project at night. that is horribly phrased so im going to try to clarify that with "shine the headlights on something and take pictures, please and thank you!"

ha, i think thats a little bit easier to follow. thanks for all the help guys!

One thing about JDM lighting. The headlights are ALWAYS ganna be shining a lil to the left because they were just made that way. You know how they drive on the left and need that extra lighting so yea. just a heads up

I was bored so i took a lot of pics. Here are some of how the headlights look shinnin at night. Keepin mind that mine are adjusted very low so the projector doesnt shine into oncoming traffic and cause epelectic sesiours(sp). Also keep in mind that the bulbs bein used are PIAA "xtreem white plus"

holy crap i love those lights!!!!

you are my new role model.

two questions, what kit did you use for the conversion. also, what all was involved to get the piaa's into the jdm housing?
