S15 Headlight Questions

Could anyone explain to me what each part of the headlight is? I mean, someone mentioned there are like a lot of lights on the headlights, can anyone explain to me which is which? (like maybe point arrows on a diagram and say what each part is)

Yeah, that's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks. Another couple questions though...does the parking light automatically come on with the low beams? Does it go off when the high beams are on?

Also...what do you think it would look like to put Angel eyes around the low-beams and/or blinkers?

And, since you've done the front-end conversion yourself, which S14 do you think is better to put JUST the S15 headlights on, the 95/96's...or the 97/98's?

I ask this because I want to get a 240, and I want the S15 headlights, but I don't plan on buying any replacement body panels like fenders, hood, etc. right away (I have someone who can do lots of custom work/fabrication for me to make it work). So which do you think is less work and looks better with JUST the S15 headlights?

well...as people who have done this conversion well know, there can be substantial work involved other than bolting the parts on...also, the body panels that are made for the s15 conversion are meant to go along with the headlights, they are a slightly different style, and contribute to the sharper style of the s15 headlights...IMO, custom fabbing just the headlights to work with all the stock panels, especially on a 95-96, isnt too attractive, it could work, but it is A LOT of custom work...i mean, u have to fab the hood, fenders, bumper, and frame to fit and match the headlights...i would just get a whole conversion (better style, usually easier fitment, and overall just better IMO)...

thats my two cents...

Ok, well, I may do that when I have the money...but until then it would just be the headlights...but thanks for the opinion.

Anyone want to actually answer the questions?

i agree on the 97-98 body, mainly b/c it is pointier and i think it will line up better. as for your other question, the parking light is on w/both bright and regular light, and for just the running lights too.
